The most easterly solar system in Australia. This 5kW residential system resides at Brownell Drive, Byron Bay. A 22 degree tilted frame was fitted, facing a northerly aspect, to maximise the sunshine's rays. You can see this system in all its glory when surfing Wategoes.
This system has 5kwh worth of solar panels combined with a multi-functional intelligent hybrid inverter, used to charge and manage the lithium battery and provide remote cloud monitoring. This client invested in a complete home power system capable of producing 80% of their home's energy needs, taking control of their power now and into the future.
The above graph demonstrates online monitoring. This particular graph shows a client's home using solar energy (green line) from 6.30 am till 4.30 pm. During that time just nearly all their energy needs were provided by the sun and excess was charging the batteries for later. As soon as the solar stopped providing power around 4.30pm the battery kicked in (red line) untill around 11.00pm, thus leaving only off peak energy from the grid to cover the home fridge. Needless to say, they are pretty happy clients.
When more power is required than the existing set-up provides we can make sure that the necessary knowledge and level 2 experience is on hand to get the job done. This project required new 3-phase over-head mains, a private pole, and an upgrade of main switchboard and distribution boards. These changes now enable the Brokenhead Company of Byron Bay to operate 3 fully-fledged commercial kitchens.
The client required a solar powered tipi to provide their AirBNB guests a truly memorable stay in the Northern Rivers. Needless to say it was an interesting and fun project to work on.
